Liverpool demand one condition from Leeds United over player transfer

Liverpool are demanding one condition from Leeds United over the possible January transfer of striker Rhian Brewster according to The Athletic.

The Reds are willing to allow the youngster to go out on loan and gain more first team experience but are firstly requiring assurances from potential interested clubs as to the amount of playing time that Brewster will be likely to receive.

Leeds are one of the several clubs looking to snap him up on a temporary deal but Liverpool are keen to get the best move for their player and are ensuring they have conditions met within their negotiations.

The 19-year-old has previously suffered with injuries but now at full fitness he has impressed for Jurgen Klopp’s men in the Carabao Cup but with the form of Mohammed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino it is highly unlikely he would be able to break into their first team in the Premier League.

A loan move is a wise choice made by the top flight leaders as long as they can secure a good deal for the teenager.

The Reds are well within they rights to be cautious regarding any loan deal especially with the current situation surrounding Eddie Nketiah’s move to Elland Road.

Nketiah arrived from Arsenal in the summer on a season-long loan but has failed to play on a consistent basis so far for Marco Bielsa’s side. He has scored five goals so far this campaign but hasn’t been in the starting XI, with the Argentine instead opting for striker Patrick Bamford to lead the line.

Should Nketiah return to Arsenal as has been speculated, a loan for Brewster may be the solution to their problem as long as both clubs can agree on a deal.
